As a wise man once said, music is just wiggly air. The things we love most are, more often than not, elusive and immaterial, distinct from the realm of the tactile and the physical. While all music is just wiggly magic pulsing through an invisible substrate, psychedelic trance in particular bridges the gaps between the corporeal and the ethereal, between this world and others.
Things That Don’t Exist is Psypien’s 2nd full-length album, his deepest and most extensive adventure so far into the realms between realms, the things between things, the sounds between sounds.
As with all of Psypien’s productions, these tracks are defined by endless hours of original hardware sound design and experimentation, and are guided by the quest for profound aural stimulation, outside of the constraints of space and time. A biosphere of analog audio signals, entangled control voltages and disparate electrical impulses that crystallizes into musical patterns - an unlikely symphony of chaos - this collection of potential vibrations is a tribute to this glorious, terrifying, beautiful universe.
